The parent company of Certina is The Swatch Group, based in Switzerland. This international powerhouse also owns WatchPilot favourites like Omega, Breguet, Swatch, Hamilton, Tissot, Rado and Longines.

How is Certina connected to sea turtles? 

Certina has used the symbol of a turtle for its DS Concept protection system in honour of the strength and resilience of the reptile’s shell since the late 1950s. Skip forward to 2017, and the brand announced its support for the Sea Turtle Conservancy and its Tour de Turtles project to protect the turtle’s marine environment from climate change. Plus, the brand has moved into ecological packaging, including recyclable materials and upcycled plastic that reuses ocean waste.

What sports is Certina affiliated with?  

Certina describes itself as having a ‘sporty spirit’, right down to the events and teams it supports. Currently, the brand is involved with cross-country skiing as the official timekeeper of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup.
