Regarding the note inside the box, this refers to the difference between waterproof and water resistant.

As stated on our site, the majority of all of our watches are water resistant, so for example, it would be ok to be splashed by rain. But warm water, soapy water, chlorinated water, and sea water could damage the water-resistant seals inside the watch over time.

The watch industry avoids the term Waterproof and instead uses Water Resistant and then a depth to which it is protected.
